Faculty of Technology – Intracom University is pleased to announce a proud academic milestone when young lecturer Pham Thi Ngoc participated in co-authoring a scientific research project with the title: “Collaborative filter integrating Jaccard index in group recommendation system based on Choquet fuzzy integral”. The article has been officially accepted for publication and presented at the XXVIII National Conference on Information Technology – VNICT 2025 (Vietnam National Conference on Information and Communication Technology), taking place in Ninh Binh on November 15 – 16, 2025.

This is one of the leading prestigious scientific conferences in the field of information technology in Vietnam, gathering a large number of scientists, lecturers, experts and graduate students from many domestic and foreign universities and research institutes. The fact that the research project with the participation of lecturers from the Faculty of Technology was selected to be presented at the conference is a clear testament to the academic quality as well as the research capacity of the young lecturers at Intracom University.
The work is in the field of Data Science and smart recommendation system, the result of research cooperation between scientists from Hanoi University of Business and Technology, Intracom University and Institute of Information Technology – Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. Inter-unit coordination not only contributes to improving research quality but also demonstrates the trend of academic collaboration, sharing knowledge and resources in the context of current scientific and technological development.

The study proposes a new method combining Jaccard similarity measure with Choquet fuzzy integral to improve the effectiveness of Group Recommender Systems in sparse data conditions. This is a new and highly practical research direction, focusing on handling the challenges of sparse explicit feedback data, which is an important issue in modern recommender systems. The method improves the ability to accurately predict user preferences, while ensuring fairness and consensus among team members — key factors for increasing user experience in a group decision-making context. Experimental results show that this method significantly improves accuracy, fairness and user satisfaction compared to traditional methods.
This achievement is a clear demonstration of the scientific research capacity of the young lecturers of the Faculty of Technology of Intracom University in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The research results have strong practical applications in many fields such as e-commerce (suggesting products for customer groups), entertainment & digital media (suggesting movies, music, shows), tourism – services (suggesting locations or plans for groups of tourists) and education – training (suggesting suitable learning materials for groups of students)…
Continuing this research direction, the authors plan to publish a Scientific Information Technology article in the International journal of the Scopus system, focusing on collaborative filtering methods combined with the Borda Count ranking algorithm to continue improving the quality of suggestions in the Group Recommendation system.
