Training and Professional Practice Center Participates in Scientific Conference

On October 27, 2023, Center for Professional Training and Practice – Intracom University attended and spoke at the Scientific Conference “Promoting connection, dissemination and sustainability in Legal Practice Education in Vietnam” organized by National Economics University in collaboration with Foreign Trade University and BAPSEACLE Organization (Thailand).

In a context where legal training is undergoing many changes to meet the practical requirements of society, legal practice education is increasingly asserting its essential role. Not only stopping at imparting theoretical knowledge, CLE aims to equip students with necessary practical skills such as legal thinking, consulting skills, litigation skills, working with clients, as well as the ability to handle legal situations that arise in practice. At the same time, this model also integrates social, cultural and professional ethical factors into the training process, helping students have a more comprehensive view of the legal profession’s responsibilities to the community. Thanks to that, learners can improve their ability to adapt to the labor market and confidently enter the working environment right after graduation.

At the conference, MSc. LS. Do Hoang Yen – Director of the Center for Professional Training and Practice, Intracom University shared deeply about the role and necessity of legal practice activities for students. She emphasized that, in the context of an increasingly competitive labor market, students’ early exposure to practice not only helps consolidate knowledge but also forms career thinking, professional working style and a sense of social responsibility. From the perspective of being the former Director of the Department of Judicial Support (Ministry of Justice), she also further analyzed the requirements for the training of judicial positions such as lawyers, notaries, auctioneers… from the perspective of state management, thereby affirming the importance of standardizing and improving the quality of practical training in the field of law.

Through attending the conference, the Center for Professional Training and Practice – Intracom University had the opportunity to expand its network of connections with legal practice centers of many prestigious training institutions in Vietnam. This is an important premise for the parties to exchange experiences, share effective training models as well as update advanced teaching methods in legal practice modules. This increased cooperation not only contributes to improving training quality but also creates a dynamic academic environment, promoting the sustainable development of legal education in Vietnam.

Summarizing the Workshop, the Center has contributed ideas to building and developing the CLE community at law training facilities in Vietnam, and has new ideas and connections with international organizations and programs to serve practical legal education for students of Intracom University.
