On February 3, 2026, in a bustling and exciting atmosphere of teachers and students, the Admissions & Student Affairs Department of Intracom University had a visit and work session, career counseling at Viet Yen High School No. 1, Bich Dong Ward, Viet Yen Town, Bac Giang Province. The program attracted the participation of a large number of students throughout the school, especially grade 12 students – who are standing at the important threshold of choosing majors, careers and future paths.

Right from the first minutes, the hall of Viet Yen High School No. 1 became vibrant with the students’ eagerness, active listening and interaction. Through direct exchange, sharing and in-depth consulting activities, Intracom University representatives brought a lot of practical information about career trends in the current context, the school’s strong training majors, admission methods as well as the learning and training environment and development opportunities after graduation.
Mr. Dang Quan Son – Career guidance consultant shares the current situation and important directions to help 12th grade students determine the right career right from high school
At the program, Mr. Dang Quan Son – Career Counselor had a close and profound exchange with the school’s 12th grade students. From real stories about “doing the right job” in modern society, the teacher clearly analyzed the situation of about 60% of graduating students working in the wrong field each year, thereby emphasizing the importance of having the right career orientation right from when they were still in high school. He also shared his experiences in choosing a university that suits his dreams, learning ability and family economic conditions, and pointed out 6 popular ways to choose a school today such as: choosing according to family orientation, according to economic conditions, according to expected income, according to personal awareness, according to test score segment and according to close friends, helping students have a more multi-dimensional and realistic view in the decision-making process.
Through sharing about student psychology in the period of facing important life choices, Mr. Dang Quan Son emphasized the key role of career guidance, because according to him, “the earlier a dream is formed, the clearer the path to realization, while the dream that comes later will make setting goals more difficult.” However, he also affirmed that dreams are not enough, but need to be nurtured with passion, desire and especially compatibility with each person’s abilities and qualities. Dreams need to be associated with strengths, passion must go hand in hand with learning ability and future development potential. From those shares, the teacher skillfully suggests students ask themselves core questions: who are they, what do they really want, and who do they want to become in the future.
