Intracom University Trains with the University of Macedonia: A New Step in International Cooperation and the ACCA Pathway

On June 20, 2026, Intracom University (INU) organized a professional training session with the participation of representatives of the University of Macedonia (Greece). The event focused on discussing international training programs in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and strategies for integrating the ACCA professional certification pathway into teaching.

This is an important activity, contributing to promoting INU’s training internationalization strategy, while bringing global professional standards closer to the school’s faculty and students.

1. Explore University of Macedonia: Greece’s leading Financial training center

At the meeting, the representative of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of the University of Macedonia shared a panorama of the school’s reputation and scale. With 66 years of history, the University of Macedonia is currently one of the leading academic centers in Europe, providing in-depth training in the fields of Finance and Accounting.

Currently, the school is operating 8 specialized departments with a diverse academic ecosystem, attracting more than 14,800 undergraduate students and nearly 4,000 graduate students and graduate students studying in 39 graduate programs. The school’s teaching team brings together more than 200 high-quality experts and lecturers. In particular, to promote research capacity and digital transformation, the University of Macedonia has heavily invested in two modern supercomputer systems to serve data analysis.

Widely recognized in more than 181 countries and territories, ACCA is a prestigious “professional passport”, helping holders confidently enter the working environment at multinational corporations, large financial institutions or Big4 auditing systems.

The highlight of the education system at the University of Macedonia is its absolute compatibility with global professional standards. Typically, the Bachelor of Accounting – Finance program here allows students to exempt up to 9/13 ACCA exam subjects. For Master’s level, students can even get recognized until 12/13 ACCA exam subjects, minimize the time to own this prestigious certificate. In addition to ACCA, the school’s training programs also receive recognition from many other prestigious organizations such as CIMA, ICAEW and IIA.

Grasping this trend, Intracom University is aiming to gradually become an ACCA training unit, helping INU students have the opportunity to access and accumulate international certificates right from the classroom, increasing their competitive advantage when entering the global labor market.

3. Outstanding academic development roadmap at the University of Macedonia

The University of Macedonia’s training ecosystem is designed along a seamless path from Bachelor, Master to Doctor, with a strong focus on practice and integration.

For Bachelor’s degree, Accounting and Finance program (lasting 4 years with 240 credits) taught entirely in English. Learners can choose to study directly in Greece, study online in Vietnam or flexibly combine both methods. With basic entry standards (High school diploma, IELTS from 5.5, essay and CV), students will be connected to businesses right from the second year. Thanks to that, about 70% of students find jobs in their majors at leading financial and auditing organizations after graduation.

For Master’s degree, the international program is shortened to 18 months. In addition to providing financial management knowledge, the program also stays ahead of the trend by deeply integrating content on digital data analysis, information systems and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Excellent students who complete the Master’s program also have the opportunity to receive scholarships of up to 100% to continue pursuing their PhD, expanding their path of in-depth research.
