In the training orientation associated with practice, Intracom University Continuously organize experiential activities to help students expand their knowledge, nurture civic thinking and a sense of social responsibility. One of those meaningful activities is the tour Vietnam National Assembly Building and Presidential Palace relic area – where special historical, political and cultural values of the country converge.
The National Assembly Building is the most modern and large-scale administrative building in Vietnam, representing the highest state authority. This is not only the place where important sessions of the National Assembly take place but also a symbol of democracy and the will of the people.
The school’s visiting delegation consisted of 42 members, including 25 students from many faculties and 17 officials and lecturers. Leading the group is MSc. Do Hoang Yen – Director of the Center for Vocational Training and Practice. The participation of a large number of students demonstrated the spirit of proactive learning and the desire to approach reality beyond the classroom.
During the trip, the group had the opportunity to explore the archaeological tunnel system located up to 15 meters underground, with an area of more than 3000m². This is where thousands of precious relics are kept, reflecting the historical flow from the pre-Thang Long period to the Thang Long – Hanoi period. These artifacts not only have archaeological value but also help students better visualize the depth of the nation’s culture and history.
In the traditional room of the National Assembly Building, students can see with their own eyes many artifacts of special historical significance such as the 1945 Declaration of Independence, the first Constitution and many precious documents about the activities of the National Assembly through the ages. The images and stories here have contributed to vividly recreating the country’s development journey.
A highlight not to be missed is the Dien Hong meeting room – where National Assembly sessions take place. This solemn space not only impresses with its modern architecture but also has profound historical significance. The name “Dien Hong” recalls the first democratic conference under the Tran Dynasty, where elders representing the people discussed and decided the nation’s destiny. This helps students better understand the spirit of democracy and the tradition of national unity.
In the afternoon of the same day, the group continued to move to the Presidential Palace Monument – a place associated with the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.
Here, students visited Uncle Ho’s Stilt House – a simple but meaningful project. The house is designed in the Viet Bac stilt house style, reflecting Uncle Ho’s pure lifestyle, close to nature. Every detail in the living space bears the mark of a great leader but is extremely simple.
Besides, the group also watched valuable documentary footage, recording the last moments of Uncle Ho’s life. Touching stories about patriotism, sacrifice and a heart always devoted to the people have left a deep impression in the hearts of every student.
The tour is not simply an extracurricular activity, but also a journey to help students connect knowledge with reality, and gain a deeper understanding of history, politics and national values.
Through experiences at the National Assembly Building and the Presidential Palace Relics, Intracom University students have the opportunity to foster patriotism, enhance civic awareness and a sense of responsibility towards society. This is also an important foundation for children to not only study well but also mature comprehensively, ready to contribute to the development of the country in the future.
